Service Disruptions

Mount Nemo

  • Mount Nemo will be closed from May 14, 2024 to May 17, 2024.

Kelso

  • Kelso Trails and Kelso Summit will be closed on Tuesdays evenings as of May 14 to August 27 for the Kelso Mountain Bike Race Series.
  • Kelso boat lot will be closed from May 21, 2024 to May, 24, 2024 and May 27, 2024 to May 30, 2024 with no access to the boat launch.  The boat lot will be open on the weekends.
  • The boat launch, boat rentals, and site A and B will be closed on May 25, 2024 for Dragon Boat Races.
  • The boat launch and boat rentals will be closed June 2, 2024 for the Milton Triathlon.
  • Kelso Beach washrooms are closed weekdays until July 1, 2024.

Rattlesnake Point

  • Trails will be closed on June 8, 2024 until approximately 1:00 pm for 5Peaks.
  • Appleby Line will be closed starting June 10, 2024 and into July. Detour route traffic will be detoured via Derry Road, Bell School Line and 14 Side Road. Click here for more details.

Area 8

  • Closed until further notice due to tree hazards.

Mountsberg

  • Mountsberg Sugar Bush – Roof replacement on two cabins and eavestrough work on the Kelly New Pavilion is being done from April 22, 2024 to May 17, 2024.
  • Lakeshore Lookout Trail is closed due to tree hazards.

Additional Park Closures

  • The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive species that infects and kills Ash trees and this is creating hazards for the public. Our forestry team will be removing hazardous or damaged trees along certain areas of trails at Conservation Halton Parks, Mondays through Fridays 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. While tree removal is carried out, sections of trails will be closed to the public for safety reasons. Signs will be posted.
