Garden-in-a-Box

Want native flower species in your garden but not sure what to plant? With the growing importance of protecting pollinators, like bees and butterflies, and the growing trend towards planting native plants at home to provide habitat for them, we are pleased to bring the Garden-in-a-Box program back for 2023!

Each kit is intended to be planted in an area roughly the size of a sheet of plywood (4 feet x 8 feet). These plants will each fill out nicely in their second and third year of growth. If you prefer a very full garden, you may want to consider doubling the number of plants for your space.

Why Garden with Native Plants?

  1. Require little to no watering once established
  2. Lower maintenance than annuals or perennials
  3. Species have adapted to thrive in our climate
  4. Provide food for bees, butterflies and insects
