Indigenous Food Sovereignty Event

NISHDISH MARKETERIA & CATERING, Crawford Lake Conservation Area, and Minikaan Innovation & Design invite you to join us to celebrate the second annual Indigenous Food Sovereignty Event. This will be a day to celebrate all aspects of Indigenous foods, from growing the foods in gardens, to teachings and cultural significance of the food, to eating the foods. On Sept 4^th Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples are invited to come and enjoy a day full of food, dance, singing, and teachings, all within the backdrop of the reconstructed longhouse village.

From 11am-12 pm there will be an Indigenous community ceremony.
