Chickadees are not the only birds that can be found at Conservation Halton Parks. The protected and preserved wildlife habitat at the parks is home to many species of birds, from Turkey Vulture soaring over the edge of the escarpment to Belted Kingfisher swooping over the surface of the lake to Marsh Wren perched on a wetland plant. Bird watchers of all levels are sure to check a few species off their checklists, so remember to bring your binoculars, cameras and telephoto lenses, when you come to the Conservation Halton Parks—and don’t forget to keep your ears open for the “knock-knock-knock” of a Pileated Woodpecker, or the “hoo-h’HOO-hoo-hoo” of a Great Horned Owl.
