Outreach Programs
The Halton Children’s Water Festival (HCWF) provides curriculum-linked education about all aspects of water through inquiry and investigation. The HCWF combines Ontario curriculum requirements and offers fun, hands-on learning activity centres that are displayed throughout the event in a natural outdoor setting. Nearly 60 interactive activity centres teach children about water conservation and protection, water health and safety, water science and technology, and water and society.

Sugar maples are a tree species with very specific growth requirements. Kelso Conservation Area offers a wide range of activities for all kinds of groups. Whether you’re planning a school event, corporate retreat, birthday party, and even a group of friends looking for an adventure, you’ll find a package that suits your needs.
All bookings come with a day pass to Kelso Conservation Area which includes access to the hiking, mountain biking trails and the beach. All of which your group is welcome to use before, during, or after your scheduled activities.

Our diverse outdoor activity packages provide an ideal platform for school groups of all ages to cultivate confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Through engaging experiences, students develop valuable life abilities in an adventurous and supportive environment.
All prices are for groups of 20-60 participants. For larger groups, please contact us for a quote.
Students under 8 get to enjoy all our recreational activities that stay close to the ground. This includes Team Building Activities, Archery, and our brand-new disc golf course. If requested we can set up the “Wee Tees”, special tee boxes for the Kelso disc golf course that make the game more fun and more accessible to our younger disc golfers. Archery lines are also moveable to accommodate archers of all ages.

Informed Consent
Please note an informed consent form is required to be signed and submitted on site for each participant. If the informed consent forms are not brought on site and submitted, we are unable to go ahead with the planned programming and alternate activities will take place instead.
Aerial Course
- Climbers less than 45” tall must be accompanied by a chaperone to assist as the progress through the course
- Climbers must be between 20 lbs & 275 lbs to fit safe weight ranges for harnesses
- Climbers must be less than 7’ tall to use the Escarpment Walk
