Conservation Halton’s Administration Office will close for the holidays as of 1 p.m. on Monday December 24th. Walk-in services for permits and planning will close as of 12:30 p.m.
Conservation Halton is looking for landowners for 2019. The knowledgeable, expert staff at Conservation Halton will conduct a free site visit to discuss your project objectives and create a planting plan that is well suited to your property. We will help you access and apply to the appropriate funding programs to reduce the cost of tree planting. Conservation Halton staff will also plant the trees, and come back for tending, and other follow-up.

Conservation Halton have released the 2018 Watershed Report Card which grades the health of our watershed using four key measurements: Forest Condition, Groundwater Quality, Impervious Land Cover Surface Water Quality.
The 13th annual Halton Children’s Water Festival (HCWF) was held from September 25 to 28 at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton. This year’s festival welcomed more than 3,600 students between grades two to five from across the region. The annual event brings the classroom outdoors to help educate children in a fun and engaging way about the world’s most precious natural resource - water.
Fall and winter hours for Halton Parks will begin October 11, 2018. During this time, parks will be open from 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m until April 13, 2019.
Hops & Harvest is an autumn festival, from October 13th until October 14th, in Kelso Conservation Area, that features breweries, food vendors, and artisans while celebrating the great outdoors. Register before the Early Bird deadline on September 21st for extra perks!
Conservation Halton issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7. Widespread flooding is not anticipated, however the forecasted precipitation may result in higher than normal water levels and flows in local streams.
