Once again, Conservation Halton is pleased to offer a unique event and special programming in a beautiful springtime park setting. Join us at Mountsberg Conservation Area on Sunday, May 11, 2025, for Mother, Nature and give the moms in your life a celebration they’ll remember for years to come!

Add-on Activities:

Provided by The High Tea Trolley, Afternoon Tea In A Box features a delicious assortment of delicate finger sandwiches, savory quiche, scones with preserves and Devon cream, and decadent desserts—all accompanied by Twinings tea.

Location: The Pavilion in the Sugar Bush

Pricing: $40 +HST per box

Runs: 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Gate fee not included.

Limited quantities, one box per person recommended.

Learn about honeybees while you and Mom make your own dipped beeswax candle to take home. After you’re finished, take a walk to the bee yard to see the bees in the observation hive.

Location: The Evaporator Room in the Sugar Bush

Pricing: $10 +HST per person

Runs: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (20-minute timeslots)

Visit our child-friendly floral photo frame station to take a beautiful photo with Mom that will be treasured forever.

Location: Cameron Courtyard

Take a stroll along one of our easier trails like the Wildlife Walkway Trail (1.6 km) or Sugar Bush Loop (1.5 km). Or, if Mom is up for more adventure, check out the Pioneer Creek Trail (6.5 km).

Head to the barn for some hangout time with Mountsberg’s farm friends including goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, our two new miniature horses and more!

Say hello to our birds of prey by taking a walk along the Raptor Center Trail to visit them in their outdoor enclosures.

Visit the Lookout Tower: Located just a short distance from the Discovery Centre, our Lookout Tower lets you enjoy a 360-degree view of the reservoir and park grounds.

Pack a picnic: Enjoy an outdoor picnic lunch with Mom. There are some picnic tables at Mountsberg, but we’d suggest bringing a blanket and/or foldout chairs, just in case.

Frequently Asked Questions

We are happy to welcome your four-legged friend to Mountsberg but we do have some rules and guidelines for dogs at our parks. We ask that you keep your dog on a 2m (or shorter) leash at all times. Dogs are not permitted in our animal care areas (e.g. Animal Barn, Raptor Centre, Raptor Centre Trail) or in the Pavilion where food is being served.

All Mother, Nature add-ons are non-refundable as events run rain or shine. Be sure to come dressed for the weather!

Afternoon Tea In A Box can be added to your reservation upon booking, or after booking by calling or emailing Visitor Services (905-878-5011 or visitorservices@hrca.on.ca). Light snacks and refreshments are also available at the Mountsberg Gift Shop on the main floor of the Discovery Centre close to the parking lot.
