Conservation Halton Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16. Local weather forecasts are predicting rainfall amounts of close to 30 mm with potential for thunderstorms to generate local areas of higher rainfall.


Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety August 13, 2016

Environment Canada is advising that our area may be experiencing rainfall amounts in the order of 50 to 100mm today. As a result Conservation Halton has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety which shall remain in effect until Sunday, August 14.


Conservation Halton issues Level II Low Water Condition August 10, 2016

A combination of below-average precipitation this year with hot summer temperatures has resulted in water levels in local streams dropping well below normal. As a result, Conservation Halton is escalating from a Level I to a Level II Low Water Condition for its watershed, based on criteria set out in the Ontario Low Water Response guidelines.

Conservation Halton issues Level I Low Water Condition July 8-16

Conservation Halton has declared a Level I Low Water Condition for its watershed. The low snow accumulation over the winter combined with below-normal rainfall amounts over the last three months (April, May and June) has resulted in reduced water flows and levels in local streams.
