Grades 2 through 5

in-person festival

Our four-day in-person field trip will include 60 activity stations for grades 2, 3, 4 & 5 students, that have been organized into four categories. Each activity is directly linked to the current Ontario Curriculum. The four categories are:

  • Water Conservation and Protection
  • Water Science and Technology
  • Water Health and Safety
  • Water and Society

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

  • 9:45am: All buses arrive, and students on-site
  • 10:00am: Program starts; students rotate through their first set of activity stations
  • 11:30am - 12:00pm: Lunch
  • 12:00pm - 1:30pm: Students rotate through their second set of activities
  • 1:30pm - 1:45pm: Program ends and buses are loaded/leave the site

The festival offers grade 5 students a French language day option on the Tuesday of the event. French immersion high school students present activities this day, and elementary students are provided French language programming for approximately half their day.

Festival cost is $8/student, which includes a full day at the festival and busing to and from the event. Busing is organized and paid for by the event and teachers will have an opportunity to update their student numbers at the beginning of the new school year.
