Habitat Rehabilitation

Conservation Halton Landowner Assistance staff can assist landowners to plan and install their water quality and habitat improvement projects. Landowners can also apply for financial support through the Water Quality and Habitat Improvement Program. Projects are reviewed by our Project Technical Advisory Committee and approved based on merit and funding availability. Projects we can help with include, but are not limited to:

  • Pollinator gardens
  • Tree planting
  • Creek plantings
  • Creek habitat
  • Livestock access restriction
  • Manure management
  • Wetland creation

If you have a habitat project in mind for your property and wish to talk to a stewardship technician about how to approach it or to seek out financial incentives, please contact us. We can arrange a free on-site consultation to walk you through the process.
