Conservation Halton Foundation is embarking on a new path and bold vision to advance critical environmental projects in the Halton watershed that inspire change, protect our natural assets and connect people with nature. We support education programs, work to protect our species and spaces, and promote nature-based recreation programs for the health and wellness it can provide.

Board Candidates

Conservation Halton Foundation is seeking to recruit leaders in the community who possess a passion for the environment and a commitment to the organization’s mission and values.

The ideal Board candidate will be reflective of the diverse community we serve and will have demonstrated leadership and governance experience. To complement the existing Board of Directors, the Board is interested in hearing from individuals who can bring the following experience and skills:

• Governance
• Legal Counsel
• Financial Acumen
• Strategic Planning
• Fundraising

Our Board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in securing financial resources and partnerships necessary to advance our mission. Our Board and staff teams also fully embrace the organization’s core values:

In addition, the Conservation Halton Foundation Board is seeking prominent community leaders to serve on two sub-committees of the Board:

Capital Campaign Cabinet

Cabinet members will assist in achieving high profile future capital targets by providing leadership to a capital campaign and strategic input into the campaign’s activation. Potential candidates will be successful business leaders, willing to open doors and leverage personal and professional networks to cultivate and solicit leadership gift donors. Our cabinet members will have a strong affiliation to the community, will be ambassadors for the environment, and have a willingness to affect long term change for the health of our region.

Campaign Ambassadors

The members of our Campaign Ambassadors committee will help build community awareness for Conservation Halton, campaign targets and related environment issues. Ambassadors will be outspoken environmental advocates, willing to represent Conservation Halton in the community and tell their story to help advance campaign goals. Ambassadors will be expected to attend major campaigns functions and events.
