The month of May is the time that bird watchers in Ontario get out to view the annual spring migration of birds.
Learn about this important program of wild bird population study that takes place all over the world. You will see how the birds are captured, how we gather and record specific information about each bird, and then take part in their release back to the wild
For more bird fun take in on one of the park’s Bird of Prey shows (offered at 12pm and 2pm) or hike through Swallowville to see Mountsberg’s resident colony of nesting tree swallows! The Wildlife Walkway offers a gentle stroll to a viewing platform of the Mountsberg reservoir, a refuge for many species of waterfowl such as ducks, geese, swans, and cormorants as well wading birds such as herons and bitterns. Mountsberg is a bird lover’s paradise!
