It‘s not just the people in our community who love the Conservation Halton Parks—our fluffy, furry, four-legged friends are some of our biggest fans! Pets are permitted at all of the Conservation Halton Parks, but we ask that their owners follow a few important rules:
- Keep your pet on a leash (no more than 2m or 6ft) and keep them under your control at all times.
- Please do not leave pet waste on or off the trails. Always pick up after your pet and dispose of waste.
- Please ensure that pets remain on the marked trails to reduce the environmental impact on our parks.
- Do not allow your pet to chase, harass or harm any other wildlife species, no matter how small.
- For the consideration of others, do not allow your pet to approach other visitors without their consent.
- Be aware of risks like steep drops, rugged terrain and wildlife encounters, which could be dangerous.
- Take caution to protect your pet from diseases like Lymes disease, parvo virus, distemper and rabies.
- Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a short time, regardless of the temperature conditions.
