Pasear al perro

It‘s not just the people in our community who love the Conservation Halton Parks—our fluffy, furry, four-legged friends are some of our biggest fans! Pets are permitted at all of the Conservation Halton Parks, but we ask that their owners follow a few important rules:

  • Keep your pet on a leash (no more than 2m or 6ft) and keep them under your control at all times.
  • Please do not leave pet waste on or off the trails. Always pick up after your pet and dispose of waste.
  • Please ensure that pets remain on the marked trails to reduce the environmental impact on our parks.
  • Do not allow your pet to chase, harass or harm any other wildlife species, no matter how small.
  • For the consideration of others, do not allow your pet to approach other visitors without their consent.
  • Be aware of risks like steep drops, rugged terrain and wildlife encounters, which could be dangerous.
  • Take caution to protect your pet from diseases like Lymes disease, parvo virus, distemper and rabies.
  • Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a short time, regardless of the temperature conditions.

Where can I not bring my pet?

Dogs and other pets (with the exception of service animals) are not permitted in the following areas:

  • Pets are not allowed to swim in the lake at Crawford Lake due to the sensitive nature of the area.
  • Pets are not allowed on the “swimming beach” at Kelso but can swim in the area west of the boat beach.
  • Pets are not allowed in the barn at Mountsberg.
  • Pets are not allowed on the Wildlife Walkway or the Raptor Centre at Mountsberg.
  • Pets are not allowed inside the Visitor Centres or other buildings at any of the parks.
