Mountsberg Conservation Area is pleased to present Christmas Town, a magical visit with Santa in his woodland hideaway! Your Christmas Town experience will include:

  • A guided woodland wagon ride out to Christmas Town
  • Christmas Town exploration featuring:
    • Scavenger Hunt
    • Toy Central
    • Flight Academy
    • Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen
  • Family visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their cabin in the woods.
  • Hot chocolate & cookie
  • Craft making
  • Ornament keepsake
  • Guests will be able to also enjoy a self-guided visits with our resident raptors (daytime only) and farm animals or playtime on the natural playground

Please note that Christmas Town is Sold Out for 2022. Christmas Town Tickets for Winter 2022 will go on sale for members on October 17, 2022 at 12pm. Tickets will first be released to Conservation Halton Members* who will be given exclusive access for 24 hours. Tickets will then be available to the public on October 18, 2022 at 12pm.

The Program

Mountsberg Conservation Area is pleased to present Christmas Town, a magical visit with Santa in his woodland hideaway! While the program has undergone some changes in response to the ongoing pandemic, we are pleased to be able to offer a more traditional version of the program than was possible in 2021. Your Christmas Town experience will include:

  • Elf Academy and Gingerbread House play areas
  • A guided woodland wagon-ride out to Christmas Town
  • A Christmas Town Adventure featuring a scavenger hunt, and visits to Toy Central, Flight Academy, and Mrs. Claus’s Kitchen in the woods
  • Family visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their cabin in the woods. (Note: due to the size of Santa’s cabin, he will be greeting families through the window in 2022)
  • Ornament keepsake
  • Hot chocolate & cookie
  • Craft making
  • Day time guests will be able to also enjoy a self-guided visit with our resident raptors and farm animals or play time on the natural playground
  • Evening guests will enjoy a self-guided visit with our farm animals or play time on the natural playground

How do I book?

You can book your Christmas Town tickets via (Link). Once you are booked you will receive an e-ticket via email.

Do I need to pay for my baby?

Babies under the age of two are no charge.

Can I cancel my booking?

Christmas Town ticket sales can not be canceled. However, if someone in your party is ill, please do not attend the program – contact visitorservices@hrca.on.ca or 905-878-5011 ext 1272 for assistance.

Can I book multiple vehicles under the same reservation?

No, please book only one vehicle per reservation. License plate numbers are used to grant access to the park.

Can I add extra people at a later date?

To add extra people to your reservation please contact visitorservices@hrca.on.ca or 905-878-5011 ext 1272. If space is available during your selected time slot we will assist you to add additional guests.

Do I need to bring a receipt with me to Christmas Town?

Yes, please bring your e-ticket with you on your phone. There is no need to print your ticket. Your e-ticket will be validated at check-in.

What time does my Christmas Town experience start?

Your experience start time will be stated on your e-ticket. You may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to your reservation time. The experience lasts approximately 1.5hours. It is important to arrive on time for your reservation. Please allow sufficient travel time for any unforeseen traffic, weather conditions, etc.

Can I just show up without a reservation/e-ticket?

Santa is very busy and unable to meet with those who show up without a reservation/e-ticket. Christmas Town is a pre-registered program and we are not able to accommodate walk-in visitors.

Does Conservation Halton ever cancel the program?

Sometimes cancellations occur due to extreme weather or due to changes in public health protocols. We will email guests as soon as possible and process refunds if they will be impacted by a closure. We will also keep our social media platforms updated. Follow Conservation Halton on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Parking

Parking is included in your reservation fee. Parking is located in the main parking lot outside of the Discovery Centre.

Please check in with a Visitor Services Representative inside the Gift Shop of the Discovery Centre upon arrival.

Program Start Time

Please arrive at the time indicated on your eticket to avoid disappointment. We will not be able to accommodate late arrivals on the wagon ride.

Can We See the Raptors or Barn Animals During My Visit?

The Raptor Center outdoor enclosures are open daily from 9am to 4pm. For the health of the birds the enclosures are closed from 4pm onwards.

The barn will be open during the Christmas Town program for guests to greet the animals.

Clothing

Much of the Christmas Town program takes place outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather, including a winter coat, snow pants, a hat, mittens or gloves, and winter boots, or rain gear if required.

Dogs

For the safety of the horses, dogs are not allowed at Christmas Town.

Strollers & Wheelchairs

The trails at Mountsberg are stroller friendly. The trail is hard packed, but it is uneven in some sections and some buildings have a lip that may pose a challenge for some users. Winter weather may also impact trail conditions. Please contact us for more information about accessibility – we are happy to help – visitorservices@hrca.on.ca.

Strollers and wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on the wagon ride. However, wheelchairs and strollers can be walked out to Christmas Town by staff, if required.

Allergies

We do our best to make sure we have cookies for children with allergies (Mrs. Claus’s orders, no child is left out!) However, it is important to note that due to the public nature of our facility we are not able to list ourselves as a peanut free facility.
