Wildflower Walk for Mom at Crawford Lake on May 8, 2016

Posted by on

Mother’s Day is fast approaching! This year you can give mom the best possible gift … the gift of time spent together. Crawford Lake Conservation Area is celebrating with their annual Wildflower Walk for Mom, on Sunday, May 8 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Take mom on a guided hike through the spectacular spring woodlands; the leaves are just starting to bud on the trees and spring wildflowers are taking advantage of the sun. Trout lilies, bloodroot, may apple and many more spring flowers are in the midst of their ever so brief annual appearance. One of the park’s experienced guides will help you and mom discover the beauty and lore surrounding these spring ephemerals and then take you back to the park for some tasty tea and refreshments.

Wildflower Walk for Mom is a preregistered event, to register please click here to purchase your tickets today. The rates are $16 for adults, $11 for senior (age 65 years and over) and children age 5 to 14 years, all applicable taxes extra. Children 4 years of age and under are free.
