When you think of winter in the country, do you imagine the sound of the snow groaning under the runners of a horse-drawn sleigh, or roasting hot dogs and marshmallows around the warmth of an outdoor bonfire? Perhaps rosy cheeks after hiking along wintry trails, comes to mind.
All of this and more will happen at Mountsberg’s ‘Tales by a Winter’s Fire’ program, on Family Day Weekend, February 14 to 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and enjoy winter puppet shows, horse-drawn rides, live animal encounters and Raptor presentations. Join us for a memorable winter experience for the whole family.
Regular admission fees apply; adults $7.50, children (5-14 years) $5.25 and seniors $6.50, children 4 years of age and under are free. If you’re a Halton Parks annual member, your membership provides your admission. Please note: an additional fee for some activities may apply.
Also on Sunday February 15, whether you are a casual photo-enthusiast, or a professional, you will enjoy the opportunity to get lens to beak with Mountsberg’s awe inspiring raptors during the park’s Raptors in Focus Program. Raptor Centre staff work with our feathered ambassadors and natural settings to enable you to get the best possible shot.
