Conservation Halton issued the following Flood Warning Cancellation at 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014.
The creeks in Burlington have receded but are still experiencing high water levels and fast flows in the lower Burlington tributaries.
Some roadways in the Burlington area are still closed due to storm related infrastructure issues and general safety concerns.
Conservation Halton is cancelling this Flood Warning message but will continue to monitor stream and weather conditions. An update to our Watershed Condition Statement - Flood Outlook on August 4, 2014 will be issued with further details on the upcoming weather conditions.
Note: A Flood Warning is issued when flooding is imminent or already occurring in specific watercourses or municipalities. Municipalities and individuals should take action to deal with flood conditions. This may include road closures and evacuations.
