Family Outdoor Movie Nights return to Kelso Conservation Area with four family films, including one of the most popular family movies of the year. Opening night is Friday, August 8 with a showing of Epic.
Join family and friends under the stars, as Kelso hosts a Family Outdoor Movie Series every Friday night for the month of August.
Admission to the movies is included with the regular gate fees, and Halton Parks members only need to show their pass for admission. Here is the line-up for Kelso Family Outdoor Movie Nights:
- Friday, August 8 – Epic (2013)
- Friday, August 15 – Nim’s Island (2008)
- Friday, August 22 – Frozen (2013)
- Friday, August 29 – Mr. Popper’s Penguins (2011)
Start your weekend off with some family time watching a movie outside, or make a day of it with a trip to the beach at Kelso and a picnic dinner, or book a campsite and spend the night. The shows start at dusk, approximately 15 to 20 minutes after sunset, weather permitting. Don’t forget to pack the lawn chairs and blanket, Kelso staff will be selling popcorn, snacks and drinks.
If it is necessary to cancel a Family Outdoor Movie Night due to inclement weather or other reasons, Conservation Halton will post a cancellation notice as soon as the decision is made on the Conservation Halton website, Conservation Halton Facebook page and Conservation Halton Twitter feed.
