Explore the Night Sky at Mountsberg on September 27-14

Posted by on

The stars that glimmer in the night sky have captured the imagination of many nations for thousands of years. What do you know about the science of astronomy? Beginners and experts alike will be star-struck with Phil Mozel’s extensive knowledge on the subject.

Mr. Mozel will be your guide to the galaxies. Through informative presentations, breathtaking slides and hands-on telescope experience, he will introduce you to other worlds and show some absolutely stunning photographs of galaxies taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and giant Earth-based instruments.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own telescopes, binoculars and cameras. We also remind you to dress for the weather – this is an outdoor event and fall nights get chilly.

Explore the Night Sky is being offered on Saturday September 27 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Mountsberg Conservation Area. This fascinating, fun, and fact filled evening with the stars will delight astronomy fans of all ages. In the event of cloud cover, we have an equally entertaining indoor itinerary planned.

Register early to ensure your participation – seats fill quickly. You can register online for Explore the Night Sky. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 15 years of age and seniors, plus HST. This evening is not recommended for children under 8 years of age.
