Local conservation authorities and environmental organizations are set to host the 4th Annual Sharing Experiences workshop on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Halton Museum in Milton.
Members of community-based environmental groups and like-minded residents will share ideas and experiences. The workshop is an opportunity to hear about different environmental groups and their activities.
The workshop agenda will be designed by attendees. The workshop organizing committee is putting a call out for topics of interest and offers to present at the workshop. The theme of the workshop is ‘building capacity’. Potential presentations should discuss how environmental groups can deliver environmental programs and initiatives in their communities.
Topics from previous years were: social marketing and communications, engaging youth, habitat rehabilitation, volunteer management, liability and insurance, partnerships, grants and funding, working with local government and strategic planning.
Topic of interest and potential presentations can be directed to Hamilton Conservation Authority’s Jaime Tellier at 905-525-2181 ext. 165 or e-mail Jaime by Friday, February 14, 2014. For more information, please visit the workshop webpage.
