Polar Vortex + Colorado Low + Great Snowmaking = Glen Eden Opening Day this Saturday, December 17

Cold December temperatures have allowed Glen Eden’s snowmaking team to make snow and get the hill set to open this Saturday, December 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. This weekend, Glen Eden will have four lifts running (two chairs and two carpets), three runs open (Nighthawk, Boomerang and Escarpment Run), both Learning Centres will be operational and the Terrain Park will be open with limited features.


We’re working on a plan for Kelso / Glen Eden and want to hear from you

Conservation Halton is planning for a sustainable future at Kelso Conservation Area and Glen Eden by working to update the Park Master Plan. Between now and January 15, 2017, Conservation Halton has a survey with a variety of questions to find out what park users like about Kelso / Glen Eden and what they would like to see.

Conservation Halton presents 2016 awards to local conservation heroes

Conservation Halton (CH) held its 34th annual Conservation Halton Awards on Tuesday, November 15 at the Milton Centre for the Arts. There were five Conservation Halton Awards presented and Watershed Stewards in the Halton Watershed Stewardship Program were recognized as well.


Conservation Halton Watershed moves to Level I Low Water Condition - Nov 9-16

Based on precipitation figures for the last three months and current stream levels, Conservation Halton is moving from a Level II Low Water Condition to a Level I Low Water Condition. A Level I condition triggers a call for a voluntary cutback of 10 per cent by users taking water from wells or surface water sources.

The fifth annual Halton Forest Festival wrapped up a successful event yesterday with the last of four educational days. The educational days took place October 13, 14, 17 and 18 at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area with 1,400 grades 6 and 7 students participating, as well as more than 300 volunteers, including high school students who helped deliver the activities.

Conservation Authorities Celebrate Watershed Stewards

The 8th annual Watershed Stewards Appreciation Day was hosted on Sunday, October 2, 2016 by Conservation Halton (CH) and Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA), at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton. In attendance were property owners from the CH and HCA watersheds that have been recognized as “Watershed Stewards”; landowners who have been recognized for their protection and enhancement of private land.

Conservation Halton’s Fall into Nature offers families plenty of activities to get outside

Conservation Halton invites you to enjoy scenic lookouts, chairlift and wagon rides, hikes and children’s activities, food and much more during the annual Fall into Nature Festival. The event takes place over two weekends starting this Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, and finishing on Thanksgiving weekend (October 8 to 10).
