Children’s Harvest Activities

Kids can burn some energy climbing on bales of hay, use your imagination to create a critter to take home, enjoy complimentary apple cider

Guided Hikes

Take a chairlift ride to the top of the escarpment followed by a hike learning about native plant species and interesting facts about the escarpment while taking part in this guided hike. Meet your tour guide at the Limestone chairlift (at the bottom of the hill)

**Guided hike participants need to purchase a chairlift ride ticket (preferable) or arrange to meet at the top of Limestone chairlift

Chairlift Rides

Chairlift Rides to the top of the escarpment with spectacular views of the fall colours. ($4.50/adult, $3.50/child/senior)

Experience the Kelso Colours Pass

For the fall enthusiast who wants adventure, purchase an individual activity or buy the Kelso Colours Pass for an affordable family outing. The Kelso Colours Pass can be purchased online.

Kelso Colours Pass includes:
- 1 hr boat rental (1 kayak / SUP, or join a friend in a canoe or paddleboat)
- Access to Low Ropes
- 1 hr at Archery Range
- $22.50 per person or $80 for a group of 4 ($31 value) plus gate admission

- Add the Beginner Bike Experience or Guided Ride to your Colours pass for $6

Passes only valid during hours of operation & activity offering
Recommended activity order – Remember to schedule your day to allow for time on the water! Boat rentals will close each day at approximately 4:30pm. Colours Pass participants meet at the Boat Rental Building.

Kelso Colours Pass Activities:

Join us at Kelso during Fall Into Nature to participate in some of the fun and beauty that Kelso has to offer. As always, Kelso will display some stunning colours along its escarpment lookouts and trails; but in addition to that we will be offering some fantastic activities for kids, families, or even individuals to take part in. Activities are available for you to try individually, or make a day out it and try them all with the Kelso Colours Pass. * Weather Permitting

Daily/Time Activity Description
11am-4pm Boating

Come enjoy the Kelso Reservoir by Canoe, Kayak, Paddleboat or Paddleboard. The escarpment colours look beautiful from the water. Regular hours, regular rates.

10am-3pm  Low Ropes 

Come climb and play on a variety of fun outdoor obstacles. Great fun for the kids. We will organize the games and challenges, they supply the energy!

Duration – Come for a little, stay for a while. Your fee covers your entry, play as long as you’d like!

10am-3pm  Archery

Eagle Eye?! Come test your aim! Join us on the archery range. Learn the basics or show off your skill. We will be running some great fall themed archery challenges for you to test your skill.

10am & 1pm  Intro to biking

Come join our expert instructors for a fun, adventurous introduction to mountain biking. We will provide the bike, helmet, and instruction! Great for beginner or novice riders. Experience riding a bike on flat ground is required. Please arrive a little early to make sure you are on time for the rides.

Ages: 10 – 16- beginners welcome!
$12.00 per person includes bike & helmet.

10am & 1pm Guided Rides

Looking to explore Kelso’s trails by bike? Join us for a guided ride! We will set the pace and route based on the group and take you out to explore some awesome fall riding. Experience riding a mountain bike on uneven ground is required. Ride guides are certified Mountain Bike instructors and will provide some basic coaching for those who need, and set out to build an awesome fall experience on the trails. Please arrive a little early to ensure you are on time for the 10am and 1pm rides.
