Service Animals may be restricted from Mountsberg programs that include live animals, such as the Bird of Prey show and the Bison Ride. Get a personal introduction to eagles, hawks, owls and falcons and enjoy a private 45-minute experience led by our expert Raptor Centre staff. Depending on raptor health and training, you might even get a peek at feeding, raptor care, training, socialization, or even a behind-the-scenes tour of our facilities. Best of all, unlike our other programming, a Raptor Encounter can provide you the opportunity to hold one of our native, non-releasable raptors! Talk about a nose to beak experience!
Raptor Encounter – $80.00 (+HST) per group (group maximum of 5 people)
Your Raptor Encounter fee includes park admission. Come for the birds and stay the whole day!
How do I book my Raptor Encounter?
1. Click here to register now!
2. Walk-in (Limited availability and on a first-come, first-serve basis)
Note: Individuals, such as young children, who are unable to stay calm around animals may not be eligible to handle a bird of prey due to safety considerations. Alternate activities (photos near birds, touch-table specimen exploration) can be arranged. Conservation Halton is committed to making our parks and programs accessible for all. Please inform our staff in advance if any member of your party has environmental allergies, special or exceptional needs, accessibility concerns, applicable phobias (birds, insects, sudden movements, loud noises), or sensitivities. We are happy to discuss the program and personalize it for your group. If you or a member of your group requires a Service Animal, we are happy to provide temporary housing for that animal or alterations to the program. For safety reasons, Service Animals are not permitted in Raptor Encounter programs. Please contact the park in advance for details on how to make your visit accessible, at 905-854-2276 x.3300 or email@example.com.
Looking for a way to wow your classroom or community/corporate event? Outreach raptor programs are customizable to meet your needs. Our raptors are always a hit with an audience! Not only is it a breathtaking experience to meet a live red-tailed hawk or great horned owl, but our educational programs engage children and adults alike and help to foster an appreciation for wild habitats and wild creatures.
We excel at bringing raptors into the classroom and blending the thrill of live animal ambassadors with curriculum-based programming. We have also visited private functions, corporate picnics and events, church groups, naturalist clubs, scout and guide functions, long-term care facilities, retirement homes, camps, city events, Earth Day celebrations, eco-fests, to name a few. If you would like to see an owl or hawk as the star of your next event, we’d love to help! Click here for more information.
