Conservation Halton is a community based environmental agency that protects, restores and manages the natural resources in its watershed.  This includes a 1000 sq. km. landbase with 17 creeks that flow into Lake Ontario, 80 km. of Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment and extensive forests.  The watershed includes most of the Region of Halton and portions of Hamilton, Puslinch Township and the Region of Peel.

We have staff that includes ecologists, land use planners, engineers, foresters, and educators along with a network of volunteers who are guided by a Board of Directors made up of elected councillors and appointed citizens.

The organization has a clear mandate and vision for its conservation work as detailed in a strategic plan called Toward a Healthy Watershed.  Every three years a Watershed Report Card is published on the progress of the strategic plan.  The agency also produces an annual Accountability Report on its conservation actions and funding.
