Kelso Outdoor Movie Nights start Friday, August 7-15

 Family Outdoor Movie Nights return to Kelso Conservation Area with four family films, which will delight audiences of all ages. Opening night is this Friday, August 7 with a showing of Annie.

Join family and friends under the stars, as Kelso hosts its popular Family Outdoor Movie Series every Friday night for the month of August.

Admission to the movies is included with the regular gate fees, and Halton Parks members only need to show their pass for admission. Here is the line-up for Kelso Family Outdoor Movie Nights:

  • Friday, August 7 – Annie (2014)
  • Friday, August 14 – Home (2015)
  • Friday, August 21 – Paddington (2014)
  • Friday, August 28 – Monkey Kingdom (2015)

Start your weekend off with some family time watching a movie outside, or make a day of it with a trip to Kelso and a picnic dinner, or book a campsite and spend the night. More information on camping at Kelso can be found on the Halton Parks website by clicking here.

The shows start at dusk, approximately 15 to 20 minutes after sunset, weather permitting. Don’t forget to pack the lawn chairs and blanket, Kelso staff will be selling popcorn, snacks and drinks.

If it is necessary to cancel a Family Outdoor Movie Night due to inclement weather or other reasons, Conservation Halton will post a cancellation notice as soon as the decision is made on its website (www.conservationhalton.ca), Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ConservationHalton) and Twitter feed (www.twitter.com/ch_comm).

About Kelso Conservation Area
Kelso Conservation Area is located at 5234 Kelso Road, west of Tremaine Road, north of Steeles Avenue and south of Highway 401. This 396 hectare park includes extensive forests, a dam and reservoir, as well as a popular beach. Home to Glen Eden in the winter, it is a popular spot for adventurers, and provides opportunities to swim, canoe or kayak, bike, and ski or snowboard.
